ClickDigit is a software business based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. We build simple software products for small business owners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in two ways:
Information you provide directly
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you sign up
- Business information: your business type and details you provide during onboarding
- Contact messages: anything you submit through our contact or waitlist forms
- Product data: the data you enter into our products (equipment records, job notes, client details, etc.)
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and how you interact with our products
- Technical data: browser type, device type, IP address, and operating system
- Cookies: session tokens and preference cookies (see Section 6)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our products
- Respond to your messages and support requests
- Send product updates, early access notifications, and important service announcements
- Understand how people use our products so we can make them better
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling purposes beyond our own product improvement.
4. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate our products:
- Clerk — handles user authentication and account management. Your email address and profile information are processed by Clerk. See their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare R2 — stores files and media you upload to our products. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We only share the minimum information required for each service to function.
5. Data Storage & Retention
Your data is stored on servers in Australia and the United States. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide our services. If you close your account, we will delete your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how our products are used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how our products function — in particular, authentication cookies are required to stay logged in.
7. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

- Request corrections to inaccurate or outdated information
- Request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal requirements)
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time

8. Children's Privacy
Our products are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice in our products, at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
